Meet Jason:

A Leader Committed to Thornton’s Success.

A Focus on Community and Families

As a longtime resident of Thornton, I am committed to enhancing our community through meaningful service. My family and I have established our roots here, and we continuously seek ways to give back. As a parent of two children, I recognize the importance of family and community support, and I am passionate about creating a brighter future for all individuals and families in Thornton.

Emphasizing Compassion and Community Support

My experience as a foster care provider emphasized the significance of compassion and community support. After years of serving as a licensed foster home, I remain dedicated to advocating for new foster families, as each one faces unique challenges.

Parent and Community Advisor Advocating for Educational Excellence and Student Success in Adams 12 School District

In my current role on the Adams 12 School District Long Range Planning Advisory Committee, I strive to ensure that our educational investments reflect the values of our community and address the diverse needs of our students. I believe that a strong educational foundation is vital for the growth and success of our children, and I am committed to collaborating with others to achieve this goal.

A Financial Leader for Community Benefit

With an educational background in finance, I apply a critical eye to fiscal decisions, ensuring our tax dollars are wisely reinvested in ways that benefit our community. This analytical approach empowers me to advocate for initiatives that drive growth and enhance the overall quality of life for all Thornton residents.

Empowering Local Businesses for Economic Development

Professionally, I work as a commercial banker at a local credit union, supporting and empowering small to medium-sized businesses. This experience has given me insights into the challenges faced by individuals and entrepreneurs, which I plan to leverage to foster economic development in Thornton.

I am also involved with the Adams County Regional Economic Partnership (AC-REP) Development Council, where I advocate for economic growth and infrastructure projects. Additionally, I volunteer as a mentor with SCORE Denver, guiding aspiring entrepreneurs and reinforcing my commitment to building vibrant small business communities.

Honoring and Supporting Our Troops

Coming from a family with a proud history of military service, I am dedicated to supporting our troops. I collaborated with another city to become a recognized a Beyond the Yellow City Program honorary, which honors those who serve, and I look forward to continuing this tradition of support in Thornton.
